AMD (Formally ATI) have released there new family of graphics cards.
Currently only available in the 7970 flavour, these monsters boast 3GB GDDR5 memory, 368bit memory architecture and 28nm manufacturing processes.

Aeropro LED Automotive Lighting

Walked into Autobarn the other day and sure enough Aeropro have a new range of lighting. Using SMD LED’s, these are much brighter than the old kind of lights they used to sell. I purchased a set of the T10 (3×6) for number plate lighting @ $20. I highly recommend them, they are very bright and light up the road under the car’s tailgate!

My only gripe is the ridiculous packaging they come in. With a 12V battery pack, wiring and a “test switch” so you can see what they look like when they are on. I found it a total waste as, a) the battery was low so didn’t light up as bright as it normally would have, b) add’s to the packaging price (you could probably get these for $10-15 without it all) and b) having them light up in store isn’t going to show how bright they are at night time. That being said, they are less than half the price than Jaycar’s new T10 range (which didn’t fit in my number plate lights due to length).

Jaycar T10/194 LED Modules

Jaycar has a new range of fantastic T10/194 wedge type LED lights. These lights provide 360 degree lighting and are super bright. Containing 15 SMD type LED’s these are available in White, Red and Yellow, they are perfect for replacing parking lights, number plate lights and dashboard lights.
